Five Pointed StarThis is a featured page

The Five Pointed Star directly balances four major regions, the Ether, Air, Water and Fire fields and can be applied as a therapy sequence to the client either anteriorly or posteriorly.
Five PointedStar
The apex of the Five Pointed Star is found at the throat anteriorly and in the Foramen Magnum, posteriorly.
From this point, a line can be drawn to the pelvic area (the inguinal ligament and psoas are important release points) and from here to the shoulders.
The low points of the star, found in the pelvic basin are where the sensory and emotional energies accumulate due in part to gravity.

If there is an imbalance in either the pelvic area or the upper torso, then the energetic balance of the star is also brought out of balance.

Dr Stone writes that the anterior tension is derived from emotional responses or disturbances from the pelvic organs and functional reflexes from the visceral organs. Posterior tension is caused by blocks in the motor impulses.

All the lines of the Five Pointed Star have a polarity and corresponding reflexes can be found superior and inferior to the diaphragm. For example an ovary reflex can be found in the breast on the opposite polarity side.

Painful spots found over an organ are indicative of stagnant energy in that area and can be released by stepping up the energy in the corresponding area above the diaphragm and holding both spots until the pain disperses and energy can flow more freely.

Using the Five Pointed Star sequence releases tension held in the throat and neck area, the shoulders and the pelvic basin.

The throat and neck reflexes govern the thyroid and communication and are released by light Sattvic touch.

The points on the shoulders are the positive pole of the diaphragm and the points on the edge of the pelvic basin are the negative poles of the diaphragm.

If treatment on the front of the body doesn’t release the diaphragm, then the back is worked on. The effectiveness of the treatment lies in the number of reflexes and organs that are encompassed along the lines of the star.
For instance, if one follows the left line of the star from the throat to the hip; the organs and reflexes covered are the ovary, thyroid reflex, ilocaecal, colon, neuter pole of respiration (at the diaphragm), liver reflex, gall bladder reflex, kidney, 1st rib, throat and head reflexes.
